The Best Paleo Whole30 Marinade- good on chicken , pork, beef, and shrimp. Easy to make and so flavorful! This all-purpose marinade combines a balanced mix of savory, sweet, tangy, and aromatic elements that work well with a variety of proteins.
You are going to absolutely love this marinade. It is so simple to make and you probably have most the ingredients already on hand. The savoriness of the coconut aminos, the sweetness from the orange, and the flavor from the dried seasonings make the perfect paring.
When testing this recipe I wanted to see what meat it was good on and it turns out it's good on everything! My husbands favorite was the chicken and my favorite was the pork. My husband said he surprised himself because chicken is usually his least favorite meat, but this marinade made it so flavorful that he preferred it over everything else.
The marinade keeps the meat so juicy and moist! It makes enough for 1 ½-2 pounds of meat, but can easily be doubled or tripled. This is low FODMAP, but if you don't need it to be then you can add some garlic powder to it instead of the oil.
The meat needs to marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes, but I like to make it the day before and let it sit overnight. I know planning doesn't always happen that far ahead, but I actually find it easier to have it prepped ahead. It is still so good with just 30 minutes though!
The steak was good, but we are steak purists and usually just do salt and pepper. But if you're looking to switch it up and want to add more flavor, this works great!
This is a must have marinade for all your grilling needs! Of course you can use it on meat that you bake for cook up in a pan. It's a go-to recipe that will elevate your meats to a new level of flavor and tenderness. Here are some more grilling recipes:

Is there anything I can use as a substitute for coconut aminos?
Jessica DeMay says
Hi Christine- I don't have a great substitute that I can think of. Some people use liquid aminos, but those are soy based and I don't recommend them. Are you working around an allergy or do you just not like coconut aminos?
