This Paleo Barbecue Beef and Bacon is a simple, one-pot meal. Bold delicious flavors made in 30 minutes.
If you're looking for a tasty, quick meal then these potatoes are it! Packed with flavor and simple to make.
This recipe is so easy! I was watching the food network when I saw someone make barbecue baked beans with ground beef in them and that got me thinking how delicious those flavors would be together. I left out the beans and sugar and I created an awesome simple meal. This is so good served over a baked potato.
Here's a list of why this meal is so good:
1.Bacon
2. Beef
3. Bacon
4. Potato
5. Bacon
You can't go wrong with this combination!
I'm sorry I don't have step-by-step pictures. I have total confidence you can make this though! There are no hard steps or tricks. I'm thinking this would be the perfect dinner tonight! You could serve this to anyone and no one would guess it's Paleo or Whole30.
Here's a link to the Paleo Barbecue Sauce I use. That makes it Whole30 as well!

Paleo Barbecue Beef and Bacon
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 large onion
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Paleo Barbecue Sauce
- ⅓ cup coconut aminos
Instructions
- Cut bacon into small pieces. I find that scissors work best for this.
- Place in a cold frying pan and cook until crispy.
- Scoop out all bacon pieces and set on a plate, leaving all the bacon grease in the pan.
- Cook the onion in the grease until it starts to soften- about 5 minutes. Add the beef and salt and cook until browned. Add the barbecue sauce and coconut aminos and stir until warmed through.
- Stir in the bacon right before serving.
- Serve over a baked potato and top with additional bacon and green onions if desired.

Hi Jessica! I found this recipe while I was doing Whole30 and I loved it! After W30 I decided to continue to eat Paleo, and I feel great, but I was worried about how that would work for things like family celebrations. I made a huge batch of this BBQ beef yesterday for my extended family, who were all gathered for my daughter's 7th birthday, and everyone loved it! We had lots of (regular) pizza left over, but this stuff was GONE! Thank you so much for helping to make this lifestyle easy and appealing.

You're welcome, Andrea! Thank you for trying it and for the great feedback! I'm so glad everyone loved it 🙂

I've been eyeing this recipe for a while now and finally got around to making it. Boy am I glad I did! This is truly comfort food at its finest. I am doubling the recipe next time I make this (probably tomorrow) and filling the freezer with extra servings. Husband and I agree it really hits the spot, especially with the colder weather coming in. Thank you!

This looks so good! We made your sloppy joe recipe yesterday and it has been our family favorite so far! Being new to Paleo, where do you get Paleo BBQ sauce or is there something comparable in our local grocery stores?
Jessica DeMay says
Thanks Vanessa! I'm so glad you like the sloppy joes! There is a link right above the recipe for my homemade sauce. It's very similar to my ketchup with just a few added spices. I have never found any store bought stuff that is Paleo. I hope that helps and I hope you like this recipe. It is one of our favorites and so easy!
