This Healthy Banana Bread that is easy to make, the perfect sweetness, and so moist. Paleo, gluten free, dairy free, and naturally sweetened.
I have a different paleo banana bread recipe from a couple years ago, but I thought it was time for a new one. A completely different one! This one is made with a mixture of almond and tapioca flours which gives it a texture very close to traditional banana bread. It is sweetened with a little bit of coconut sugar which also makes it more of a treat than my first banana bread. Both are good in their own way- this one is more of a treat though.
It is super easy to make- all mixed by hand and ready for the oven in about 10 minutes. The hardest part is waiting for it to bake! The 50 minutes it spends in the oven, filling your house with warm, sweet smells. Then comes time to eat a warm slice and it is so delicious!
The bread is so moist and I tend to like baked goods a little on the under-done side. If you prefer it more done, then just bake it a few extra minutes.
My daughter loved this bread and I felt good knowing she was eating a treat with healthy fats and that is naturally sweetened.
You will love how easy this healthy banana bread is to make and how delicious it is! You will not regret making a loaf of this- it will disappear quickly. Here are some more breads to try:
- Paleo Pumpkin Bread
- Gluten Free Peanut Butter Bread
- Paleo Apple Cinnamon Bread
- Cinnamon Roll Quick Bread (paleo)
- Paleo Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Hi there
Would I be able to substitute the almond flour and milk with coconut flour and milk? My son is allergic to all nuts? Would this work?
Thanks
Jessica DeMay says
Hi Vee- you may be able to make it with cassava flour and a milk he can have (rice? dairy?). There is no coconut flour in this recipe, but maybe you were thinking coconut sugar? That can be replaced by maple sugar. That would be my suggestion, but I can't say for sure it would come out the same. I hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi!
This looks delicious and I really want to try it 🙂 Unfortunately, I have an almond allergy, is there any other kind of flour that I can use?
Thanks,
Partow
Jessica DeMay says
Thanks, Partow. Another nut flour would work great, like cashew or pecan. Just place the nuts in a blender until flour consistency. If you're not strict paleo then a gluten free blend would work. Hope that helps!

Is there any way to get around the almond flour? My daughter is allergic to nuts. I just recently found your website and am super excited about it. I am starting a modified whole 30 tomorrow.
Jessica DeMay says
Hi Melinda- you could try a gluten free mix, I think that would work. I know, not paleo, but that's the best option I can think of. You may be able to use sunflower seed flour (just put them in a food processor until flour consistent), but that would react with the baking soda and turn the bread green! 🙂 Yay- I'm so glad you found my site! I hope you find lots of recipes you enjoy and good luck!

My husband and I love banana bread and since his mother is a great banana bread baker (with traditional recipe) so I never tempted to make it at home. Now we have a Paleo version and I can finally make it at home following your recipe. Thank you !
